My deepest sympathies to anyone who uses bittorrent. Comcast squeezes (screws) their bt customers for every last MB. Enjoy!!

Greetings and Salutations! I also am now a Comcast customer. I will miss Insight, but I am hopeful that we are served just as well by Comcast. I currently have the 10/1 package and will gladly welcome a 20/2 upgrade for free!!! ...if only. |

Hmmm. I haven't noticed any decrease in my torrents. In fact, it's been the opposite. My speeds have gone way up, in most downloads maxing out my bandwidth (750-800 KB/s). Either Sandvine isn't here (which I doubt) or Comcast is really lax with torrents/caps/etc here. |

I hope this isn't an omen as to what the future holds for us involved in the "switcharoo" from Insight to Comcast.

I'm originally from the beason/lincoln/clinton/forsyth area myself, and personally i'd liek to see my parents in Aregenta get Comcast. They actually have the money to get the optics going out that way, digital service may actually come to them.
Can't remember if they had Insight, or the other one... media something.
Slowness, and intermittant service will probably happen every so often as they work on it. They will be replacing hardware/software, also they will be getting the CMTS ready for DOCSIS 3.0. Also upgrading outdated hardware could also cause you problems.
Give it a few months. |

Just you with a bad ping. Personally, I would not put much into it, until the official switchover after March. I do not know why people are jumping the gun right now, due to only thing that has changed, is that darn Channel 1 teaser.

1 edit | $80, I only pay $30. Then again, you have the 15/1 don't you. And as for responsibility for the connection, until you see a Comcast IP, it is still Insight's responsibility if it is a bad connection. Once the change is complete, then take it up with something other then the local office. |

Yup, it's suppose to be 15/1.5....and as far as I know, Comcast is now my official ISP regardless of what my IP says. -- Anticipate Nothing...Expect Everything |

| Comcast may be the name on Channel 1, but the employees are still receiving paychecks from Insight until 1/15/08, and the IP is still owned by Insight. Matter of fact, I saw a Insight van driving around town today, with the employee wearing a Insight Logo'd shirt. Oh, to add, my bill is still in the Insight Website.
I would say that everyone jumping over to Comcast HSI, before it was official, and slamming Insight on 1/1/08, was nothing more then those that slam sports team for poor playing. |

Before it's official, please explain. I guess all the news releases and Insight's own website directing us to Comcast means nothing. -- Anticipate Nothing...Expect Everything |
