Does the Comcast site even recognize your zipcode yet, or when you call their 800#, do they recognize your street? If not, then you still deal with the local office until Final Transistion is over, and until it is over, we are still covered by Insight Properties. |

| There is no gear for Comcast to setup. Everything that is on the system now, was given with the deal. Only thing that will change, is the same as with the other Transisition markets in the way of routing, and restructuring programming on the Video side. Also, maybe a side of rate increase in the next increment. |

Since we definitely have a difference of opinion as to who's currently responsible for our internet service, that's fine. For me, I'll continue posting here with my concerns regarding my service and I guess you'll choose the Insight forum. -- Anticipate Nothing...Expect Everything |

1 edit | Why not wait until after the 18th of Feb. Supposedly that will be the changeover time. Just because the change of name on the 1st of Jan. that does not mean that all of sudden everything else changes. It takes time, and transitions do not happen all at once. |

1 edit | One nice thing I noticed on my new Comcast bill.
On Insight, for Phone, I was paying $40 + $10 for two phone lines (1 unlimited LD and the other with 180 mins of LD) + ~25 taxes+fees, so about $75/mo.
Here comes Comcast's bill. For Phone, I'm paying roughly $11 in taxes and fees on top of the $50 now. So my bill went down $14. Yay!!!
They still get $142/mo out of me though. $40 for basic/classic cable, $50 for phone, $20 for Internet, $5 for extra IP, $8 for digital package, and $4 for cable cards. Roughly a total of $15 in taxes.
I'm waiting for the bundle deals to start being offered..... heh... -- acadiel's blog is here

| Quincy, IL customers got the "Your Insight Internet service is scheduled to change to Comcast" email.
Since I have to change my email addr anyway, I am changing to g-mail. I understand g-mail has free POP access.
Does anyone know what I put in my client email software's POP3 box and SMTP box? mail.google.com doesn't work. |

@comcast.net | reply to INTENS1 I heard that the change will happen the week of the 18th. I also heard that the 15/1.5 customers will be moved to 16/2 with powerboost. Hope that's the truth. |

( i like imap.) imap.gmail.com. Either way, you have to activate it in the gmail settings page. Im pretty sure it comes disabled by default.
