Re: [POLL] 2008 Wireless Service Provider

I switched from Sprint to Verizon around 2004. Still with Verizon and am happy with current plan.

With Sprint now and very happy. I was previously with ATT, and before them I with US Cellular. I have only been with Sprint a couple months. There is nothing bad for me to say. ATT dropped the most calls by a wide margin though overall service was good. I rarely had drops with US Cell. and Sprint has been very good, I don't recall a single dropped call since I switched.

I've been with Alltel for the past couple of years which is great here in FL. I am now on a company plan with AT&T which has been good but the service has been sporadic depending on where I am in the South parts of Fl., although I must say I am loving the I-phone!!!

Just switched from Verizon to AT&T (so I could get my wife and iPhones).

Wasn't unhappy with Verizon ... but wasn't overjoyed with it either.

I have had Houston Cellular/Cingular/At&t for almost 7.5 years now. My Dad still has a work provided Verizon Blackberry. Also, My friend is now paying me $40 per month to have his Virgin Mobile auto charge to my credit card each month since he doesn't have one.

Started with Cellular One which became AT&T Wireless which became Cingular which became AT&T again. Whew!

At least that's to the best of my memory.

Had Verizon now for five years after having T-Mobile. I had VoiceStream which became T-Mobile and I had no complaints about them they were fantastic. The only reason I switched to Verizon was for the IN calling because so many of my family members and friends had it. Also I've discovered that where I live now that the only provider that will work out here in the sticks is Verizon so I wouldn't have any choice now anyway.

Re: [POLL] 2008 Wireless Service Provider

Been with Verizon for a number of years here in the Wash DC area with no complaints.
Latest handset is a vx5400 & it's the best re reception/call quality & , by far , battery life.

I wish I were still on Sprint SERO.

Now I'm in S. Korea - the phones have great hardware - but the services plans are nowhere near SERO.

And seemingly, most to all of the phones are crippled - as in they can't even play MP3s - only a proprietary format you have to download via the data network.

Nor is there any interface for putting those proprietary sound files on your phone via USB cable. they really want to make sure you buy every song.

I do, and love it.
I have a Treo 755P, and get great web service now that it's set up correctly.

I'm not really typical, though, because I don't use texting at all, and Neither I nor my wife has exceeded our 500 min/mo in years.

I have Helio and the Helio Ocean phone which I love dual slide (They basically rent off sprint) so my coverage is great, unlimited calls, data, texts. My only beef is there being bought out by Virgin Mobile.
