AOL 9.0 Optimized

I just formatted my PC. How do I export my mail in AOL 9.0 Optimized to Outlook 2003 or configure Outlook 2003 to download AOL 9.0 emails?

If there's no solutions for the things mentioned above, what else can I do to get the email to my formatted PC? Eg. send it to gmail or forward all email to gmail and use Outlook 2003 to download the mail.

Also, I still need access to my AOL mail. Is there a web interface login? I don't want to install the AOL program again.

Thanks.

How to Use Microsoft® Outlook® 2002 and 2003 to Read and Send AOL® or AIM® E-mail

You can read and send AOL® or AIM® e-mail using the Microsoft® Outlook® 2002 and Outlook® 2003 software.
AOL® offers both POP3 and IMAP to provide simple remote access to your mailbox.

The major difference between POP3 and IMAP is that POP3 downloads the messages and stores them on your computer's hard drive and IMAP stores the messages on AOL's e-mail servers.

Create and Configure a New AOL® or AIM® E-mail Account in the Outlook Software Using IMAP or POP3

After the AOL or AIM e-mail account is set up, the Outlook software must be correctly configured to be able to connect to the AOL® or AIM® service.

To create and configure a new AOL or AIM e-mail account in the Outlook software:

1. Launch the Microsoft Outlook software.

2. Click the Tools menu, then click E-mail Accounts.
3. Choose the Add a new e-mail account option by clicking it, then click the Next button.

4. Choose the POP3 or IMAP option by clicking it, then click the Next button.

5. In the Your Name: box, type your name as you wish it to appear on outgoing e-mail.
6. In the E-mail Address: box, type your AOL® or AIM® e-mail address, for example, GabbyGrace@aol.com or GabbyGrace@aim.com.

7. In the User Name: box, type your AOL® or AIM® screen name, for example, GabbyGrace.

8. In the Password: box, type your AOL® or AIM® password.

9. In the Incoming mail server (POP3): box, type:
• imap.aol.com or imap.aim.com if using IMAP
• pop.aol.com or pop.aim.com if using POP3
Note: Click the Leave a copy of each message on the server box to place a check mark in it.

10. In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP): box, type smtp.aol.com or smtp.aim.com.
11. Click the More Settings button.

12. Click the Outgoing Server tab.

13. Click the My outgoing server requires authentication box to place a check mark in it.
14. Choose the Use same settings as my incoming mail server option by clicking it, then click the Advanced tab.

15. In the Outgoing mail (SMTP): box, type 587.
Note: In the Delivery section click the Leave a copy of each message on the server box to place a check mark in it, then click the OK button.

16. Click the Next button.
17. Click the Finish button.
