| Slow speeds to laptops(wireless home network) I have centurytel as a provider(westell wireless modem/router model 327W). My hard wired computer(desktop) gets 10mbs download but both of my wireless laptops only get 3 to 4mbs.If i hard wire to laptops speed goes up to 10mbs i havent tried to change any settings with the laptops, one laptop is a gateway and the other is a dell and both laptops run XP. Does anybody know what setting i need to change to get full speed to my laptops? is the problem with the modem or laptops? Any info would be greatly appreciated.Centurytel techs cant help me. |
