[HDTV] did the hdtv channels move to basic already?

Hi,

I read the following on the forum:

Did the channels move to basic already? When I visit TNT HD or ESPN HD I still get not authorized. I get TBS HD though.

Thanks,
Arthur

Re: [HDTV] New HD Channels

I have the paper. The ad was by Patriot Media, not Comcast. And it would seem the change is for all current Patriot customers.

The other good thing is that almost all the HD channels are being moved to the HD Basic category. (TNTHD, TBSHD, ESPNHD, YES, FSNY, MOJO, UHD, HDT etc) Only 3 HD channels will be in HD Plus - Wealth TV (WTF is that channel all about anyway - so now someone is going to pay money to watch how rich people live??) and some HD Movie channels or something. So no more paying for the HD versions of channels you already pay for in SD.

I'm confused: They are billing us the new rates but have not changed the channels? If I was to drop HDPlus right now would I lose ESPNHD even though it should be free?

I briefly channel surfed with my QAM tuner but didn't find anything (not that I looked too long).

almost all the hd channels will be in the hd basic tier (free) those 2 or 3 channels in the plus tier will only cost 1.99 /mo

though i have no idea who will care to order them.

I understand the changes, but they are billing us for one thing and offering another. Anyone else think this is strange?
