Some of the toughest shots I have done this year was of their mineral collection. I did their micro-mounts, which are tiny minerals mounted in half inch black plastic boxes. Some of the minerals I swore were dust they swept off the floor just to see if I could photograph it! So all of those rock shots on my section are minuscule minerals- some no bigger than the head of a pin. It took approximately one hour per mineral to shoot, process, label and save to a CD. |
