I am still having issues with my VPN connection with Centurytel's DSL service. After about month or more of trying unsuccessfully to get my VPN connection at home to work with Centurytel I subscribed to Charter's internet service. I did absolutely nothing different other than unplug the router from the DSL modem plug it into the cable modem, run the basic router setup and wam bam thank you mam the VPN service works with Charter. I really don't want to pay for two services and would like to resolve the Centurytel issue. I am using a Westell 6100 modem issued by Centurytel, running in bridge mode. The problem I have is as follows: I can authenticate to my corporate server but when I go to launch Outlook or our MIS program the programs time out our I receive error messages. I have a local CT service man who really seems sincere about trying to resolve the situation but he to is coming up empty when it comes to solutions. I sure would appreciate any help that I can get from anyone who may have some knowledge on the subject.
I wish I could help. The only thing I can tell you is that I connect to my office via VPN daily and have never had a problem! -- The goal of the broadcast engineer is to get all the meters on the transmitter to go as far to the right as possible!!
reply to Blue44 You may need to reset your proxy (or set it) to your corporate one. Also may want to try disabling your software firewall(only for testing purposes) once your VPN is connected to see if it is causing a conflict.
