[general] Wireless adapter toast?

My sister has an Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG Network Adapter, and it was working fine last night, she had another, crippled laptop (no wireless) mapped through her laptop with ICS.

This morning she could't connect to the internet and there were "no networks available", even though my laptop is working fine. I tried repairing the connection, disenabling/reenabling the adapter, and uninstalling+reinstalling the drivers for it.

Is the adapter toast?
