right click HERE and save as, start the download & just let it go.

When it's midway through it should have settled down & you just look at the peak speed, that's your test result.

It's pretty a accurate result as it tallies with my real world top speed.

Also, remember the speed shown by your browser will be in kiloBYTES/second (KB/s), while internet speed is most often measured in kiloBITS/second (kbps). Just multiply by 8 to get the result in bytes.
