Actually that's a good question, But i would like to see a more stable 10/1 package first, Before i upgrade.

Most likely it will be rolled out in midwest market first since that is Charter home turf.

I'm on the list to get called when its available here. I was told "call back near end of January" when i called last month if they don't call me first.

yea it is ever since they built 2 new apartments on my street the internet here has been real bad, sad part though it's half of Burbank from what i had heard. my sis who lives near me about 2 miles or less has speed issues too. all Charter wants to do is roll a truck out. pfft half of Burbank is jacked not just me.

Sounds like our town. Idk if its related or not but
until charter started making changes to our T.v channels my internet sucked. Once they did that it started working perfeclty. I get about 4950/70 down and about 490 up consisantly on my line now.

Speedtest.net is not the greatest site to judge speeds. And surely you can't expect charter to support that.

what is a better speed test site, and why isn't speedtest.net a good one?

newserverguy, i use others as well i used that one for the forum tag it provides. i also use these for speeds tests.
»nitro.ucsc.edu/ - kind of like sudoreg's post but closer to me then Illinois.
and this one.
All of which normally shows just about the same speeds when i run tests.

Ok, this is frustrating: I just got back from the Health Fair(Charter sponsors it) and the business rep for Charter said she did not expect 16meg soon in the Metro St. Louis area. When I pressed her on what she meant by soon, she said at least not in the next 6 months. I am hoping she just does not know what she was talking about.

I am sure she doesn't, thats how Charter does business, the left leg never knows what the right leg is doing.
