matt they can reset your modem while in chat, it just says "please wait while we re-establish the connection..then connects you back".
Btw when i moved across the street other day my 10meg service INCREASED by about $5 a month. Because I moved I was not locked into my old rate anymore, and also can't get on a promotion for some odd reason. Moving across the street raised my price..classy charter.
I'm not getting 16meg till I fix all the stupid billing problems they made. lol |

I'm kind of glad it didn't go through in a way, because I really do like the $34.95 rate I'm now paying for the 10meg service. If the promo on the 16 meg is $59.99 that would raise my bill by 25 bucks a month.
instead, I might just treat myself to a giganews subscription with all the money I'm saving. Though the sweet temptation of 2mb upload makes me almost want to take the plunge anyway. Argh, it's a touch decision! |

1 edit | Just a note to you all.. If you called in and asked for 16meg, and they said it was available and it was NOT. CHeck your bill this month, I just got back from Charter office and they put the $25 internet MAX on my account even though its not available till end of March here.
Again its in the billing system, just not deployed so it might appear to be charged for it on your bill. |

Is the 34.99 price bundled or just HSI? I got the $34.99 plan for HSI only. I just called in and told them I was cancelling, they offered me $34.99 for 12 months. |

| reply to mbkowns I got all excited again. Called still no 16 meg in St Louis
What I found interesting, is that the Tech Support person I spoke to said Charter is "BETA" testing 20 Megs in Texas. He had limited information and was not sure the upload when you have the 20meg download program.
Very interesting........................... |

No fios in Missouri means Charter can offer whatever crappy service they want. |

| reply to mbkowns I went in today to pay my cable bill here in So. Cali., And the CSR said she didn't know when for the Burbank - Glendale area for the 16/2 package. I told her that I was told last month that it would be this month. All she was told was that there was no ETA on when it'll be available. |

| Is it in the billing system wyckedknight?
From the time they had it in billing system to when they actually offered it was about 2 months here in my state.
I could order it before it was here before that long, had to get them to remove 2 months worth of billing for 16meg when not even here :P That might be a indicator to when you can get it../shrug |
