Well 16MB is in Southern Oregon now.

Jumped on the promo for $5 more than I was paying for 10Mb service. Greatly impressed. Especially to New Zealand! |

Mine wasn't, got a newer one and solved the problem. im using a Linksys WRT54G router. Will that work well? Do you or anyone else have a suggestion on what brand/model to get? |

16 meg is aval in certin areas of so cal right now if not a majority of the area I think the entire footprint probably has it now. I know the inland empire has had it since the end of march, I got it only a couple days after it launched down here. Then with the glendale/burbank area going live along with several other places in the west, i think everyone out here shoul dhave it available now.
And I saw a "High speed internet Max" commercial the other day for the first time. yet they didn't actually quote a speed. It just touted it being their fastest tier. |

| $54/mo without cable.
Then dish pissed me off so I ordered a bundle with a DVR / Coax outlet / Digital box (3 tv's in total) / Bunch of channels / 16MB for 123/mo
That's a $60/mo savings over my old Charter / Dish network setup. Hopefully the DVR / Quality isn't too much of a hit. |

My 16/2 Connection is functioning very well. I get 15.6 average downstream and 1.9 average upstream. Everything seems very stable. |

It shall be nice to see my online backup be double the speed, I can finally have it backup some larger documents w/o fear of taking days. |

Going to give it a try and see if it's worth the extra $25 vs only extra $5 for 10meg. |

| reply to mbkowns well just yesterday I noticed the Charter website said "speeds up to 16 Mbps" when it used to say 10. When you put in my address though it does not yet show an option for ordering 16 meg. Of course we had 10 Mbps service available in my area for over a year before it ever showed up as an ordering option on the website. So I suspect it's already here or will be soon. |
