The key is to try at least two (or even three) sites that are usually not overrun with tests if you suspect an issue with your line. I don't think any single speed test is 100% valid 365-24/7.
I've seen some issues with my line not being fully there lately during busy hours as well but it's always above 5mbps.

Basically you want to test on-network if you can and that will likely yield more consistent results than off-network site testing even if the Charter site is far away, for example. |

| speedtests are lame.. go connect to a ftp from a fast server and upload and download large files. Then you will see the actual speed your getting. Also try several known good servers and see what your results are. -- - MBK (AIM = IllMBKllI) |
