[Speed Problem] FastAccess DSL Ultra/Fiber

Hi all.

I have been with BS for over 4 years now and I am on the FastAccess DSL Ultra/Fiber plan. Obviously I am on IFITL, but it sure does not seem that way. I am supposed to be receiving 1.5mbps but my fastest download ever achieved has been 200kbps. (UNREAL)

What can I do to achieve what I pay for, or do I just have to deal with dial up speed until Bellsouth (ATT) figure out how to fix this issue?

I just don't understand why I am capped this way on a fiber line.

Can anyone enlighten my ignorance?

Thanks for your time.

Have you gone to speed.fastaccess.com and run a speed test? Or have you run any of the speed tests here?

200kbps or 200kBps?

There's a difference. One would be spot on excellent and the other would be really slow.

speed tests use bits but download meters on PCs use bytes generally

nevermind everyone.

I have been confused for some time I guess. I have been reading kbps vs. KBps wrong

I am downloading avg. of 1500 kbits/sec or 1500 Kb/s

I was assuming KBps as kilobits instead of bytes all along....

what an idiot...

results below

hopefully that states 1.5mbps........

thanks for all the replies and help
