Why Pay for MS Anything?

With all of the Linux distro's, FreeBSD, and OpenBSD available for free to download (legally) or roughly $20 to $40 for shrink-wrapped CD's with more software than you will use in a lifetime? Keep one copy of MS for the only thing it should be used for - playing games. Free yourself and your hardware, you will both be happier.
