| [Other] Issues calling 800 numbers using GizmoProject
Hi - Was wondering if anyone is having problems calling 800 numbers using GizmoProject. If I try to call 1-800-315-9339 , I am getting a fast busy. Calls to another 800 number resulted in dead air. However, I am able to make calls to some 800 numbers without issues. I have verified that all the 800 numbers I am calling are NOT regional. Calls from a landline to these 800 numbers go through no problem.
I am using a the SR AC211 ATA device with gizmoproject+grandcentral.
SIP version 4.62 US (APP 14 )
Dialplan: ((>#|911|611|411|311|00|0T|[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|1[2-9]xxxxxxxxx|[2-9]xxxxxxT|011[2-9]x.T|*x.T)
Any pointers appreciated! |

| Bump.
Folks at gizmoproject suggested the following but I am still having issues: -------------------------------------------------------- "Add the following to your dialplan and then dial just as you did in the software client(adding 1101 before the 1800 #):
11011800xxxxxxx
Just make sure the above is inserted something like: |311|11011800xxxxxxx|00|
Also remove the old entry you added for 1101 or the above will not work." ----------------------------------------------------
With the dialplan change, I am able to call the number. The number I call is a conferencing service. After about 10 seconds, the "Mgmt" light on my gizmo device (SR AC211) starts to flash like crazy and that's when my call gets disconnected. New problem? I have no issues when I use the agent software on my PC (call is connected and stays connected. |

| reply to sociableorg I am also having problem trying to call any 1-8xx toll-free number using GP through Asterisk-1.2.16 on my LaFonera running with a DDWRT v24RC5 firmware. At first, I thought it was the problem on the Asterisk, i.e. wrong dial-plan strings; however, once I saw your post, I realized the problem is something else. For now, I just use the FWD to call any toll-free number. |

| The Gizmo project folks fixed the problem with the 800 numbers now.
In addition, I had an incorrect configuration setting in my ATA (SR AC211) that caused the problem with calls disconnecting after pressing a few keys.
I changed the setting for "Send Out-Of-Band Telephone Events:" to RFC2883. It was set for "SIP INFO" before.
Thanks for the support. |
