Getting Wordpress and phpBB to work together

Using WordPress for blogging software one can create a blog entry and have readers comment below. Instead of having readers comment below I would like them to post in a forum. I would like to know if it is possible each time a blog entry is entered for a thread to be created within a forum. From my understanding, WordPress uses php and so does phpBB (who would have guessed? :P ). They're both free as well. So my question now is how could I set up a system where for each blog entry that gets created a thread in a forum automatically gets created as well. If I could just get pointed to the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. You see I've done websites before but in HTML. I've messed around with some forum software in the past but it's been a while. I appreciate any kind of help I can get for this.

So I've been doing some searching of my own and I've found software called WP-United which apparently integrates WordPress into phpBB. Or at least that's what I gather. I'll be testing this out.

Just to update the situation. I've managed to install phpBB3 and WordPress. Both are pretty easy setups so long as you have the right database information from your host.

Then I setup WPU and it took a while but I also got it working. From the options it gave me during setup it seems like this will do just what I want. Just wanted to let others know.

When setting up WPU I recommend using a program like NotePad++ to edit the .php files required to install everything. Regular NotePad just won't cut it.

Let me recommend Metapad for a Notepad replacement, I have been using it for years:

I was just curious on how the setup of this was? Was it fairly straight forward? Run into any issues?
