Acanac is trying to bully me into a refund

Well, it seems that Acanac via Paul and a few well placed cronies are more interested at this point in time in forcing me into accepting a rebate I've stated that I really don't want. I'm not interested in a refund. I'm interested in their company fixing the problems with speed.
It started out as a simple, I really don't like that the speeds are slow and you seem unable to do anything about it, and it's now devolved into Acanac's "we're going to smear you whenever possible if you don't want to accept an offer of a refund to go away".

I'm not sure if other companies do business this way, but I wonder if the better business bureau and the Toronto Star would be interested in the reprints of Pauls/Acanacs replies to me? Makes for some interesting reading, and some good insight into how this company treats its customers.

Read my review before you sign up with Acanac or you might regret more that your speed.

//I'm sure there'll be a couple nasty remarks and replies from Paul/Acanac aggressively denying that they're doing anything wrong, with them painting me as the bad customer in all of this. It's easier to bully than it is to address the problem after all.
///I'm not going to accept your offer of a refund Paul. Plain and simple. I don't want a refund right now thanks.

Average speed of about 1.3-1.7 mpbs since I signed on in May if you're interested in what kind of speed I get. You decide for yourself if this is for you.

Everyone can judge for themselves how far we have gone for this client. Here are some of the post he has made.

Like I stated before am not going to win this argument with you so I will just state the facts and let everyone else decide.

1. Acanac tried many times to raise your profile, but we were unsuccessful

2. Acanac went as far as installing a second Naked DSL connection at your home at no extra cost to you. You ended up with the same speeds as the first.

3. We brought up your account to the upper management of Bell

4 We even offered to pay for your first month of service with Sympatico. This offer still stands.

5. Acanac offered you a full refund since you were not happy with your speeds.

DSL is distance dependent. We say up to 5Mbps not 5Mbps. Acanac even backs it up with a 30 day money back guarantee if clients are not happy with the speeds due to distance from the CO.

Best Regards,
Paul

Seems like you refuse to accept the technical limitations of DSL and that no matter what DSL provider you pick, you would be having the same problems. I wouldn't want you as a customer either, I'd just refund your money and cut you off. I feel sorry for companies who have to deal with people like you.

Well, since I've paid my bill in full up front, and I'm living up to the terms of my contract they can't "cut me off" without some major problems. Starting with the CRTC. If every company that had to deal with the public "cut off" the people that complained about their service there'd be very few customers for service at all. That's part of running a business. You take the bad with the good. Thanks for noting that you're completely in agreement with every company you've ever dealt with gas, electric, hydro, Rogers, cel phone, car company, food, etc...and you've never had a complaint. You're one lucky guy.. Your every companies dream client.

On another note Paul.

Where are you in the food chain? Are you a manager, VP, CO?

oh my god dude, would you get lost? Acanac doesn't want your money, your attitude, or your shit, so take the refund and go harass some other ISP. they don't want your business because you are impossible.

Your behavior is no different then that irate guy you see at the Future Shop Customer service desk raising his voice over some petty injustice or the moron who makes a big stink in a restaurant because his garlic mashed potatos didn't have enough garlic in them.. In both of those cases, and in this case, you look like a complete idiot and all the service provider/store/restaurant wants nothing more than to satisfy you the best they can and get your ass out of their establishment and I sure as hell don't blame them and they are well within their right NOT to let you back into the place of business.

They have no obligation to accept your money, they could simply refund you and cut you off and there is nothing the CRTC will do for you, despite your baseless threats. It sounds like they won't do that, it sounds like they are giving you ample opportunity to find another ISP that is somehow able to defy the limitation of DSL at your location - even offering to PAY for you to do so out of their own pocket.

How does it feel to know you are such a problematic customer that they are literally willing to PAY you leave them? Feel like a big man?

Here's what I think about jackr:

He could never get a good speed neither on cable or dsl elsewhere (he probably lives up the hill). He tried all other highspeed providers in the past, but the speed sucked. Now he's with Acanac. He's trying to get Acanac to fix the mission impossible. He doesn't want a refund. He wants someone to do something about his 50 miles away from CO problem.

Wow, get a life buddy. Sounds like this ISP has done everything it can. Plain and simple, you're an idiot. Go with Bell and see what "great" service you get (cough cough).

you know something jackr you sound like my 2 year old niece when she doesn't get her own way. i just recently signed up with acanac and i am very satisfied with my speed.i live close to the co and i get very good speed. as for support goes no problems either. all questions answered within 24 hours to my satisfaction. this might be a bit harsh, but grow up and get a life, nobody wants to hear your whining.

Jackr,
Move on and accept the fact that you are living in an area where the speed sucks regardless what whatever provider you sign up. You complained that they cant cut you off, which is true but i see they have done whatever they can for you to see if it will increase the speed and even offer a refund.

There is something you can do on the side of yours since you have control of your house. Why not sell your house and move to an area where the service is better and you are closer to the CO and can be assured of great speed.

It has nothing to do with acanac. It has everything to do with the technical limitation. Do you understand???????????

U should leave Acanac, let them keep the money

I also run a resto. One customer was not happy with the taste of the dish he/she ordered. The resto offered to do the dish again, or the client is free to leave without paying.
The customer (being a lawyer) insisted that a CONTRACT has been established, and the resto had to honor it (= the resto had to repair the dish to his/her taste).
The resto let the client sat there for a while, then he/she left, then no one saw he/her again.
The resto never lost a customer.

Re: Acanac is trying to bully me into a refund

I have had Acanac for almost 2 years and I have been very happy with their service overall, other than a few glitches (which is normal). Thanks Acanac...
