Click for full size
I received an online advertisement confirming the "Blast 16Mbps" tier is now utilizing "PowerBoost" for download & upload.

That's the same one I signed up for and I'm still only getting 8Mb download speed. Here's the fine print of that ad.

*Additional $10 monthly price based on upgrade from Comcast Performance 6.0 Mbps Service to Comcast Performance PLUS (8.0 Mbps with PowerBoost download speeds up to 16 Mbps and uploads up to 2 Mbps) or Blast! (16Mbps) Service, depending upon availability. PowerBoost provides bursts of download and upload speeds for the first 20 MB and 10 MB of a file respectively. Many factors affect speed. Actual speeds vary and are not guaranteed. IGN Founders' Club provided with Comcast Performance PLUS or Blast! service only. IGN Founders' Club supplied by and subject to terms of IGN Entertainment, Inc. Comcast and its subsidiaries are not responsible for any products and services of other participating companies. Cable modem required. Pricing and services subject to change. Call for restrictions and complete details. © 2007 Comcast. All rights reserved. They did finally tell me that it was Blast and they're sending out a tech on Monday. The config file is the speedtier.C01.cm, from what I've read it's the wrong file for Blast. It's just a matter of convincing Comcast.

I got that same e-mail although it's a black background and it mentions IGN game invasion.

I have the Triple Play premier package, which is supposed to include the top level internet speed.

That's not exactly 16mb. A test to washington DC nets me about 8100kbps down by 1000kbps up.

Ya, the email I got was above. The one I first posted was via comcast.net to confirm the email was valid. IGN is cut off in my pic.

I know it is getting harder to distinguish between the offerings, but we just can't fill the forum with multiple threads about tier offerings. I am making a decision, this one belongs here for discussion ---> »Is 16/2 or 12/2 available in your area - Not PowerBoost Pt 2

I do know it makes that topic more complex. I am open (IMS, please, let's not fill the forum with it) to suggestions. I'll start working on my own idea of how to add this.
