[Outlook] Change Font Size of Preview Pane in Outlook 2007

There does not seem to be any way to permanently alter the font size display in the preview pane of Outlook 2007. At best the scroll wheel resizes it temporarily. Also when you left click on the border the option comes up, but is shaded out.

Is there any way to do this?
Thanks

I went back to Office 2003 because of stupid crap like this.

MS seemed to have added a lot of stuff in but then just removed all the user settings, or at least ease of getting a setting said options.

Well this is the situation...

I send you an email, rich text, in Aerial 20pt. This is exactly what the preview pane will display.

The next message I send you is HTML format, Times New font and 32 pt. This too is exactly what Outlook will display.

Basically what your doing with the CTRL+Scroll is using a magnifying glass to read the message.

You could always ask all your senders to create their messages with a larger font or adjust your resolution or continue to use the ctrl+scroll method.

And Nemo, I've been using office 2007 for over a year now, took a little while to get use to but I find it much easier to use than the 2003 suite. I believe most people go back because their just too damn lazy to poke around a bit in the program. They just expect it to work exactly the same as it use to.

Sorry thats complete rubbish.... try setting the mail folders (left side) font... (because on my screen they are almost impossible to see...) basically you cant!!!

Also setting the actual message font is very hard and you have to set it for EVERY inbox you have (every view) individually!!!

I spent days trying to get it looking right (so I could actually read the fonts) only to have it reset!

Outlook 2007 like Vista is a step backward!

My response was not directed towards the folders on the "left side"

However, being the nice guy that I am, I will see if the font size can be changed...(without being reset back to default) with Office 2K7 and Vista.

Also, yes, each individual message has possibly a different font/size determined by the sender...ehhem re-read above. I see where your getting at, maybe a 3rd party add-in that sets all font/size to what YOU want to see, not the sender. I'll look for you.

the only way to do this is to change your settings so that all your incoming mails are in plain text:

Tools > Trust Center > E-mail Security > Read all standard mail in plain text

You can then set your desired font size: Tools > Options -> Mail Format > Stationary/Fonts

The following article has more details: Enlarge font in Reading Pane »www.msoutlook.info/question/67

when you receive an e-mail using this method, you'll have the option to convert the mail back to HTML.
