 | They raised prices... After all this TERRIBLE TERRIBLE service they actually have the nerve to raise television/internet prices? Wow. Canceling my television and getting sattelite this week. I switched from their AWFUL cable service to Verison DSL about 2 months ago and I haven't had a single outage and my speed has NEVER dropped below the speeds I pay for. |

Laenir join:2006-11-30 Lynchburg, VA | I haven't checked my recent bill to see if they raised rates in my area. What service area are you in, Amarok? |

 | reply to Amarok Well, they actually changed the tiers up on us. And instead of defaulting our 3mbit plan to Mach II (same speed/price), they went ahead and billed us for the new Mach III (5mbit) and charged us the $20 more. Oh yeah, and they still charged us $5 for modem rental, when it says it's waived with this plan in their brochure and on their website.
They're getting a call from me in the morning.
Oh, and before I forget... is anyone actually achieving anything near 5mbit download speed? I sure as hell am not.
Fortunately I won't have to put up with JetBroadband much longer as I'm looking to move back to Blacksburg very soon. |

 | My speeds are pretty good most of the time. It can be flaky at times but it's getting more consistent.
I'm going to cut them some slack because: One, they could be like Comcast and try to throttle Bit Torrent. And two, even though their website mentions network traffic caps, they haven't said anything to me about downloading so much. Maybe the caps only apply to new customers and not to existing customers that previously didn't have a cap before Jet took over. I don't know. All I know is that in January my traffic totalled 370GB. Nothing was said and I didn't see any extra charges. |
