Actually, I know this must be occurring, since, if I happen to be up at 2 am, and I'm watching a download in progress, I can see the "full in x minutes" incrementing during the FAP fee time the same way it does during a download that is not happening in the FAP-free time.

My computer is the server, and the downloads are actually being received on a different computer in the network (actually an XP box).

Is this actually a known bug? Thanks to all who have answered questions!

This time, I seem to have something a little different, though.

The symptom is that the rx and tx values continue to be constantly zero. That usually occurs when the command number is wrong for the current software release. Mine is 5.6.1.35, since August 2008. But, lest I mislead anybody, I just got a new pc with Vista, and I've reinstalled hnfapmon due to that. I went to the advanced configuration, and hovered over the PEP summary, and I can see in my status bar that the command number should be 71, so I added a line for 5.6.1.35 similar to the others, with the command set to 71. That usually does the trick, but not this time.

Does anybody have a tip for me?

This can be the place for the dialogue. Periodically, as new problems/solutions are found, they can be added in a concise form to the FAQ.

The troubleshooting thread could be stickied or if not, then a permanent link within the FAQ could be made.
