The OTA mandate by the FCC to move channels to analog by Feb 2009 does NOT apply to what cable companies deliver over their systems.

But that being said, MOST cable companies are making plans to end analog channel delivery eventually. Some faster than others.

@comcast.net		 Doesn't matter almost all cable companies are switching over to Digital signals before that..Comcast is one of them...Not all channels will be encoded but they WILL be digital
