@comcast.net
$69.95/month?

After the promotional rate, anybody pay $69.95/month for Comcast HSI only?
That's crazy. Much higher than other companies.

I don't need cable TV and digital phone. Anybody has a suggest for just high speed internet service?

Thanks!

This is the Comcast HSI Forum and our scope of discussion centers on Comcast HSI. If you let me know in what area you live, I'll transfer you to a regional or city chat forum where others from your area can let you know what they do.

Or you could just use the search function on this site to search (use your zip code) for reviews of various ISPs by members in your area.

Except for promotional deals, you won't find incredibly low prices for high speed cable connections. every company's prices shoot up pretty high after the promotions are up.

I end up paying 67.95 since dumping their cable and going back to dishnetwork.

I know it sucks but im saving $15 a month after all is said and done for a couple dozen more channels. I didn't use VOD only the DVR in 2 rooms. I should be saving more when they add the new prices to my last bill in a couple weeks.

San José would be $67.95 per month for the highest speed tier and no cable TV. Only two dollars lower, so it could be a regional thing.

Up here in Mendocino County we pay $66.95 a month for the Performance Plus (8000/768) Tier without cable, we have Directv for our TV. We are an ex-Adelphia market, so that may have something to do with it as well, we are part of Comcast's North Bay Network.

Edit-The standard tier here (6000/384) is $56.96 a month without cable tv.

Edit2-While we did gain Powerboost, the standard tier lost part of it's upload in the transition to Comcast from Adelphia, under Adelphia it was 6000/768. To get the 768 upload back that Adelphia had you have to upgrade to the higher priced tier (Performance Plus).

Thank you so much for your reply. At least I get a basic idea how much would it cost for Comcast HSI only. I'm in Olathe, KS (zip 66062).
It looks like we only have AT&T and Comcast. AT&T is about $55 for internet and unlimited long distance. But the internet is not as fast as Comcast.
I used to pay $49.99/month for Time Warner HSI only when I lived in another area.

Thanks again.

Sorry the news wasn't better, but it one generally pays more for more speed. Welcome to the site! I knew Olathe before it was so big, during high school/college years.

Talked to the customer service. They dropped the rate to $54.31/month for 6Mbps speed. They said I was on performance 6Mbps plan, but I wasn't sure I got that fast download speed. Every time I tested my speed here is only about 2500 kb/s. On speedtest.net is about 5400 kb/s. Anyway, saved a little bit by making a phone call. Hope the HSI price won't be increasing as fast as the gas price.

snoopy, do you have any other people living in your house over the age of 18? if so, cancle your comcast and have them sign up as a new member and get promotional pricing-when that runs out, have them cancle and you sign up as a new member and NEVER pay full price-if you can't do that, is DSL available in your area? sign up for that and get promotional pricing-when that runs out, cancle it and switch to comcast-go back and forth and NEVER pay full price

Comcast at least here lets you keep the protmotion package pricing if you sign a 1 or 2 year agreement so you don't have to do that. Only thing is your screwed if Fios arrives in your area and you wanna switch
