Re: So Typical of Sony

Looks like Sony just pulled into the lead with this recent announcement:

(January 4, 2008 - Burbank, CA) - In response to consumer demand, Warner Bros. Entertainment will release its high-definition DVD titles exclusively in the Blu-ray disc format beginning later this year, it was announced today by Barry Meyer, Chairman & CEO, Warner Bros. and Kevin Tsujihara, President, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group.

I hate to break it to you but the Bluray vs Hd-DVD "war" is irrelevant it is now a war between physical distribution vs electronic distribution. All the physical media will soon go the way of the dodo.

You need the bandwidth to do that, and most American's still don't have it. They also said paper would go away with the advent of computers, well, we all know how that turned it I'm sure electronic will eventually take over, but you're talking a while here, DVD is here to stay for a while.
