Used to be the monthly cost of Tivo service was more then the DirecTV monthly DVR price. Has this change?

Brooklyn, NY		 what I was asking is if I was to buy a tivo box off of ebay(or simular) would I be able to use it(with my direct tv card) instead of direct tv DVR box and not have to pay them the extra $ every month?

I would say no. You would have to pay them a fee.
