| reply to snipper_cr Supposed to be a shit storm coming tomorrow. I heard them say as much as 2 inches of rain. Ugh! I have a cracked window in my basement so I have a waterfall every time we get a lot of rain. |

Warzau Premium join:2000-10-26 Naperville, IL clubs: | I'm not looking forward to it. I actually took some time to put some pre-emergent for crabgrass/fertilizer. I came to realize I didn't like working on the lawn today |

|
jsinaiko Premium join:2001-04-25 Chicago, IL | True - just a lot of water. Where I am even Thursday's squall line wasn't as sever as it was further North.
It's amazing how local it is here. -- Illegitimati non carborundum

I have a week and a half left of classes, then a week of exams then Im lighting it back up to the 'burbs. Its so nice outside that it makes studying/homework that much more difficult. Although the nicer weather makes my flight training classes a bit better. |

| reply to snipper_cr Looks to me like we'll still have highs in the 60s except for Saturday. The rain isn't supposed to arrive until late Thursday and should be gone for Sunday, so you might still have your shot at getting things done. -- If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something. |

| reply to snipper_cr There are some huge ass storms just cross into illinois now. We've had winds gusting over 40 and 50 down here in champaign ahead of these fast moving storms. Looks like they are going to storm through with a bitch slap. Batton down the hatches! -- Serenity Day - June 23rd 2006. You Can't Stop the Signal |

The real shocker could come late Sunday into Monday as an intensifying low pressure system moves from the lower Mississippi Valley into the Midwest, bringing a cold rain that is likely to transform into a wet snow here as temperatures drop into the middle 30s.
Recent warmth should prevent the snow from accumulating on pavement, but cold surfaces and grassy areas may be in line for a late-season coating of white.
Should measurable snow (0.1 inches or more) occur here on Sunday night or Monday, it would mark the city's latest measurable snow in nearly two decades when half an inch fell on May 6, 1989. I'm chasing storms in the southern Plains this week, so... uh, have fun guys! -- If everything seems to be going well, you've obviously overlooked something. |
