1 edit | ...... Talk is CHEAP
Att Uverse was nothing to celebrate. So what, I think they give people 7mbit? I got that using cable. Hell, cable offers 15mbit here. These companies pretend like we're stupid. A big marketing campaign and loads of fanfare to get crap that is available in other parts. Big Whoop. Not to mention, they act like what they're doing is some sort of new revolutionary technology. Humm, NOT EVEN CLOSE. When these companies start offering symmetrical fiber, give the story front page. Until then, it's the same watered down crap over and over again. Who cares if they toss in another few mbits on top of what they offer. The upload will still stand at 512-2mbits which just sucks. End of story. |

| Amen- A lot of talk and no real action from these players. All I ever hear is this company or that company is going to offer such and such but I've yet to see it in my part of the world (or anything close) The Telcos and cable boys are going to milk the current customer base for as much as possible before they spend a dime to really upgrade their offerings. |

Yep, they wont risk losing their small business T-1 revenues. With U-VERSE they get to upgrade and not risk losing that cash cow. ADSL2+ was standard in what 2003-04? All they are doing is making more automated milking machines. -- Do ye, quieting in your bosoms your strong hearts, Who of many good things have had your fill even to surfeit, With what is moderate nourish your mighty desire; for neither will We yield, nor shall you have all else as you wish. The business level T1 etc. have SLA that DSL does not have. That is a chunk of the extra cost. If the circuit goes down a tech will respond asap. |
