| Not on your life!!! I used to have TAN and then LEC took over. The service stunk and support was non-existant. I cancelled and went dialup again. IT's consitant and seems to move at the same speed I was getting most of the time with LEC, at only $9.95 per month! We have very little options for internet out here. My neighbors are still using LEC and most of the time they ar either down or crawling at just above dialup speeds. LEC is definately reliable. I can rely on them giving no support, consistent downtime and consitently sub-standard speeds. Get it corrected and rocking? Not at this point.
You're asking that guy to ask LEC to take him back? If they did get their act together and truly did have support and reliability, I would agree. But, from what I can see in regards to my neighbor, not on your life would I consider it or even recommend that guy who was cancelled consider it.
In my opinion, dialup is better than LEC. It's consistent, though slow (no different than LEC at this point), and 1/5 the price. Plus, you can actually talk to someone in support with dialup. Emails and phone calls are returned, unlike what everyone say's about LEC. |
