They didn't want to spend the money to bring fiber to the home like Verizon because they wanted to please Wall Street analysts so that they keep the stock high so that the former CEO gets a fat retirement check. Chickens come home to roost. Those same analysts are now running away from the stock. They are getting their butt kicked by the competition.
