Told the same thing - despite press releases, the fastest speed available in my area (NYC) is 3.0. Hopefully they can get it to my area this summer, because I'm planning to changeover to Optimum Online this fall. I'd love to keep my dsl line. However, the 3.0 downstream is pretty sparse in comparison with what others are currently offering!
--
[BQUOTE=[user=sailor]][bquote= Nhatters ]
If I am able to find the vehicle, what would be the best way to approach this person?
[/bquote]With a baseball bat.
[/BQUOTE]

a333 : wait, do you mean you had a filter on the line between the modem and the jack? If so, you sure did the right thing by removing it. Also, check that the PHONE, NOT the modem, has a filter on it. Filters go on ALL non-DSL devices on your line (i.e. anything other than the DSL modem)
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
a333
