I would be careful

I would be careful. DSL still runs slower the further away you are from the main source. If someone is promising the world never trust it. I see verizon teatering on the line too much and I hope you all don't fall for it.

can anyone access the verizon site to check for this? everytime i put in my phone # or address it always says vz high speed internet is not currently available at your address even though i have it! LOL!

not necessarily slower for the distance but repeaters or Load coils have to be placed on the copper to get the signal to you regular Verizon dsl has always been 18000 feet from the co or less and no loads as loads add distance to the loop 7 meg dsl has been around for awhile but was called business grade and requires a different router or dsl modem
