An excellent point. Don't forget Xohm (WiMax) is on the horizon too...
Unfortunately for people like my best friend that lives oin the boonies( actually he lives 4 miles from town ) satellite is the ONLY option for broadband. Wireless phone companies don't want to provide EVDO and the like to people like him just like cable and phone companies have no interest in providing cable or DSL internet.

One can only hope that companies like HughesNet and WildBlue will increase speeds( without increasing already ridiculous prices ) and have higher caps. No excuses now for such low speeds and low caps.
