 | [Other] Interference I hooked up my HD TiVo tonight and my new HD Box from Pat. Something odd happened, some of the early channels are getting interference and it won't go away. It's not on all channels but happening on both the HD TiVo and Pat Media regular HD Box.
Any suggestions? |

how my terminations do you have?
-3.5db is better if you connect multiple terminations. |
|
 | HOnestly, I'm not sure. It is one that the cable person setup last time.
Not sure what you mean by terminations, one end goes into HD-Tivo and the other into HD Receiver from PatMedia. |

So you don't have anything else. like a TV conect to the cable without PM receiver? or a cable modem? |

 | I do have a Cable Modem and their phone system, but that doesn't look like its coming off of the same splitter. |

-3.5 or -7 db. depending on the splitter.
my original instalation had one -3.5 db dual splitter and then one -7 db 5 output splitter.
when I connect by 4th device I had the fuzzy picture on the lower channels.
I then replaced the -7db 5 output splitter with 2 -3.5db dual output splitter and picture is now fine on all channels.
on the original instalation with the -3.5 and -7 db would give me a total of -10.5db. and that was too much loss for my signal level.
Sometimes people need to add a cable amplifier to improve the signal strength. but I would try the low loss splitters 1st |

 | The Cable guy is coming on Friday, so I'll have him check it out. I'm not sure how its set up with splitting to the cable modem and phone so I don't want to mess it up! |
