How To Acess Linksys Control Panel w/ Two Routers

I am trying to set up my Westell 327w wireless router/modem with my Linksys WRT54g. Essentially I want the Westell to be an DSL modem. Anyway -- I can access the Westell's control panel fine but I am having trouble accessing the Linksys. When I used the Linksys some time ago, perhaps two years or so, I entered the standard 192.168.1.1. Now that brings up the Westell control panel (even when I move my ethernet cable to the Linksys router). Any suggestions?

What are you trying to achieve with 2 routers? If you want to use the WRT54G to add wireless, then set it up as an access point

u could try to disconnect the modem, then log into the router, then change the address of the router so u can log in from a different address

I am trying to use the Linksys router for a firewall, wired router and wireless router and the Westell as just a DSL modem. When I connect the Linksys via wired ethernet I can't connect to the control panel.

you need to put the westell 327w into bridged ethernet mode( you will find this under the configure connection button of the management gui for the westell) the router will reboot after you have made the change , connect from one of the switch ports of the westell to the linksy's internet port. Configure your linksys to do a ppoe connection , input your verizon user id and password. This is just a rough outline but it should get you where you are trying to get to, you can find the ip address of the westell by looking at the gateway ip. type it into your browser and it should take you to the management gui. hope this helps
