Replaced ends on one side of the connections and bingo it was lighting up on the switches. I did a loss test and one leg of the fiber I was lossing 33 percent of the signal strenght, replaced those ends and it went on line. Not experience in this so figure if the light went through then by golly the signal should be as well, we learn something new every day ;P.
I was using adhisive ends on the connectors, switched over to universal splice with ST pig connectors and that helped the strenght as well.
