GoDaddy does it too

I had the same thing happen to me over a year ago.
did a whois on godaddy of an obscure domain name.
it was available, but I waited 2 weeks to come
back to register it, and GoDaddy had already
camped that domain for the next 2 years. f'kers.

No that's different. That means someone actually bought it. The way it works is they have about 3-7 days to sit the domain. Sort of like a "waiting for payment" thing.
If it was "camped" for two years, that means someone bought it and did nothing with it.

I beg to differ, as it's a
very obscure domain name.
GoDaddy is holding it randsome,
GoDaddy wants $1,000 for it now.
and 13 Months later has done
nothing with it at all.
I'll just wait till the 2 years
are up. was just a hobby idea.

No what I mean is that someone BOUGHT it. If they actually BOUGHT it, they can do nothing with it or everything with it.
The person that bought it used the anon buying option, and is listing it with godaddy, that is all.
