I am stilling getting pretty good speeds over here, jumping from 1.2MB/S - 2.5MB/s on torrents. Also there is no way in hell that the monthly cap is even enforced. Any news on this? All I will say is that I have been way over every month for a year now.
And you feel the need to publicize this... why?

Seriously - there are noted issues with Shaw's caps and I'd rather not publicize them lest someone decide to do something about fixing the "problem". Sit back, keep my mouth shut and enjoy - that's my motto!

It depends on where you are. In my old apartment they used to strictly enforce them. I always used to carefully monitor my usage ever since Xtreme-I was introduced. This one month I was warned for going 490 MB over the 100 GB cap. In my new house I've never even received an automated e-mail, and I'm pretty positive I've pulled ~200 GB for consecutive months.

I believe kamikaZi answered that they didn't do anything - it just happened.

I don't know if it's possible to hack in any way to keep the boost going for longer or unlimited periods of time.

I experience max torrent d/l speeds of 1.2 - 2.2 Mbps.
It cycles up to 2.2 every ~5 minutes for a duration of ~45 seconds. Let's hope this continues.

Pretty clear to me since you mention everyone should have it and Extreme-I in the same paragraph which means your referencing each other. If you had 'everyone should have it' on a separate sentence, then I can see where the confusing lies.
Good for you narcis. Maybe if one day all the internet chat forums will become a formal place of communication where only lawyers and the like will post messages, we'll all think the same way in terms of sentence structure and meaning.

I didn't say "everyone" had it. I said Xtreme-I users had it. The OP - and others - have stated they were on Extreme-I.
Most of us are not on Extreme and your post wasnt't clear, especially when stating that "Everyone should have it without asking for it".
I'll admit I should have said "Xtreme-I customers should have it without asking for it" however I was responding to the OP's question who IS on Xtreme-I, likewise every registered user posting on this question IS ALSO on Xtreme-I. And given that no one else seemed to be confused suggests the confusion might be isolated to yourself.

But I will try to be more clear in the future.

Huh? I got an email not long ago about it and it costs extra, so I dunno where you get the idea that everyone has it.
"PowerBoost is included with Xtreme-I service and is available to Shaw High-Speed Internet customers for $2.95 per month."

maybe we can get some more people to ask for a trial and see how it fairs?
Maybe it's just the weekend brain settling back, but who are you talking about asking for a trial? Powerboost is automatically enabled for Extreme-I customers. Everyone should have it without asking for it.

As for those who have it and it stays boosted - lucky!

Maybe you're on a very unpopulated node? Doesn't the duration of the 'boost' depend on the traffic of the node being shared amongst all your neighbors?
