I received the 10/1 upgrade email as recently as Thursday, November 29, 2007. I had also received a phone call message from TWC about it. |

| reply to SD92128 so surely San Diego Road Runner's standard speed is 10/1 and turbo/premium is 15/2? I don't know why but they did an upgrade last Wednesday in my area (san diego ca 92128) and EVERYONE i mean EVERYONE who has standard rr is getting half of what were supposed to get. the old rr standard speeds 5/384. how wonderful. the turbo people (people that are supposed to be getting 15/2) are getting 7/800. my friend has turbo and apparently in my area every speed is cut down in half. -_- |

@rr.com | Just to clarify, I've been paying for turbo 10/1 since maybe middle of last year or so, prior to that turbo was 8/512 and normal was 5/384?
My upload is currently half of what it used to be, since wed. |

@rr.com
| reply to SD92128 heh. the turbo 8/512 speeds and 5/384 are like 2 years old back in 2006. But aww. I hope they promised like they would to fix the problem tomorrow (Monday). I hope everything is upgraded to what it SHOULD be: Standard: 10/1 Turbo/Premium: 8/512 |

@rr.com | reply to SD92128 OOPS. i mean Turbo/Premium: 15/2 |

  o0osk11
@rr.com | reply to SD92128 at least your getting full download speed man. i wouldnt be complaining >. a lot of us in 92128 aren't even getting more than half of what we are supposed to be getting download AND upload wise...you should feel lucky hehe. |

| reply to SD92128 Hello, new to this forum but not to dsl reports. I too am in the 92128 area but still getting 5 down/3 up. I just got off the phone with a tech and apparently, there has been an update to the ticket (today, according to the tech) I had opened for this issue. Supposedly, our area is supposed to be on a different server now and all that needs to be done is re-booting the modem to get the new down/up load speeds. I re-booted the modem and am still getting 5 down/3 up! The ticket is still open for this issue though. Tech stated to try calling back tomorrow (again!). BTW, I'm getting a 24.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address instead of the 76.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address I had before. AAAHHH! This is frustrating....
Slow in 92128...

| devangel,
Dude same problem here, getting 24.xx instead of 76.xx I used to get. Spent an hour or more on the phone with tier 1, tier 2 and 3 tech support last night. They confirmed I was a RR Turbo subscriber but that my cable modem was configured for 512K down instead of 1Mbit, yet they couldn't fix the problem. What was even more frustrating was most of them didn't know what the turbo speed should be and tried to convince me it was 8/512 and not 10/1 I have been getting for over 6 months!! |

| reply to devangel I'm still rock solid for my 10/1 connection. I am not seeing the flaky speeds that you guy/gals are seeing in the 92128 area code. I would like to see the 15/2 speeds that everyone is talking about. Never-the-less, I am satified with my current speeds as long as there are no hick-ups. I hope you guys get you issues resolved. As stated before, my IP comes up as 66.xx not 24.xx |

@rr.com
| reply to SD92128 yeah devangel, a lot of us have 24xxxx ips. i had a rr technician tell me that apparently for the people who are getting 5/384 like you and i, he says that the router in our area is only letting us have 5/384 and the technician that did the maintenance last wednesday apparently made a mistake. ah this sucks. |

i live in carmel mountain across from ralphs.
hey do you know if the whole 92128 is set at 5/384 standard and 10/1 turbo? because thats lame. it should be 10/1 standard and 15/2 turbo as advertised on the site -_______- |

@rr.com
| reply to SD92128 (sorry for double post)side note~ last wednesday they did an upgrade and apparently the standard speed got pushed down to 5/384 instead of 7/512....an upgrade is supposed to improve things. not make them WORSE. as of now, i'm not satisfied at all with road runner. everyone is getting 10/1 standard and 15/2 turbo in san diego EVERYWHERE except for area code 92128. |
|
  SanDiego92128
@qualcomm.com | Keep pushing them...im still capped at 512K for upload instead of the 1Mbit I was previously getting. |

| reply to SD92128 O_O
apparently i rebooted my modem and i magically increased back to my 7 megabit down 512 up. LOL... well its normal for now....btw~ we have a pending maintenance for our area 92128...so by the end of january i think we're going to get upgraded. |
|
  SanDiego92128
@rr.com | How can you tell there is a pending maintenance for our area? |
|
  o0osk11
@rr.com
| reply to SD92128 the technician was looking at the profile for our area code and apparently she was mumbling under her breath "pending maintenance schedules before 2/1" and then i asked her "oh really are we going to have a maintenance?" she says yes and the rr techs will try to fix the problem with the upload speeds and people not getting speeds they're supposed to get!!! |
|
  o0osk11
@rr.com
| reply to SD92128 OK!!!
i think they did come to do maintenance because now everything is alright .
im getting full 10/1 standard. heheheheh =]
oh and sandiegoca92128, i dont know about you but you should be getting 15/2 now. because my standard has turned into 10/1 O_O |
|
  o0osk11
@rr.com | reply to SD92128 is anyone having a hard time to get the full 10/1?
im always getting 8800/800.
is it because of an overloaded node? |
