Interesting that it would take so long for Rogers to get a deal. Rogers is the type of company who seeks out such partnerships because it doesn't want its own brand to be so prominent.

Remember that Apple gets a big chunk of the monthly revenu generated from iphone customers, so Rogers may not be willing to part with that much money every month.

And there is also the question of whether Fido will be able to sell the iphone too.

Remember that in the grand scheme of things, Rogers is small potatoes. Indian networks activate more new customers in one month than Rogers has in its installed base.

Rogers would also need to decide what features to cripple in the Iphone since Rogers'crippling policies may be different from AT&T's. And Apple may be reluctant to allow Rogers to cripple phones more than AT&T cripples them. (remember that locking phones isn't the only thing networks do, they also customoze software/menus to remove/add options.
