It will still buffer, but the "last" channel button won't work.<br> </div>My mistake, sorry.  To be honest, I don't rely on the dual buffering at all as I've had it just stop working here and there at which point it needs a reset from HQ (unplugging does not fix it). It falls back to it's pre-upgrade behavior and a box reboot always brings it back. I have also been able to get it working again by starting a recording and switching channels.]]></description>

When this happens I believe this will be one of the best DVR's available out there through a provider not named TIVO.   <br><br>I am extremely please with the IMG and the DVR. ]]></description>

Due to a audio problem, the box that has stopped buffering was "reprogrammed" the other night by a technician which required me to redo all my settings. I was able to rewind 1 hour of both stations that I was looking at last night. So it still buffers constanly even with the DVR off. I better not tell my wife about that. <description><![CDATA[<A HREF="/useremail/u/1444888"><b>matcarl</b></A> : I've played around with the new dual buffers and they are more amazing than I've seen anyone report on them. Originally I thought they would only work with the "last" button, not so. It remembers the last two stations even if you press the channel numbers or just use the up/down arrows. I tested 48 and then pressed the up arrow to 49, then pressed the down arrow and rewound, pressed the up arrow and rewound and so forth. I did it the same way on 52 & 53. I even turned the DVR off and when I turned it back on I could still rewind the last two stations that I had on! Amazing!!]]></description>
