I'm going to get my laptop on Sunday, I'll try it out for a couple days and post back on how I like it. |

| Apple laptops, especially the cheap ones, are crap.
I've generally never had problems with my laptops, but I generally buy the business-grade laptops like Thinkpad T-series, HP compaq business notebooks. And when I did have an issue it was quickly resolved. One time HP replaced my Evo n610c notebook because there was a week delay in the repair. They sent a box to the wrong address twice in a row so they just replaced it.
I then see all these cheap consumer Dells with hinge problems and just falling apart after a year and that's why I keep buying the same sort of laptops. Only problem is on the business notebooks they are not going to have a good video chipset for gaming. -- 09:F9:11:02:9D:74:E3:5B:D8:41:56:C5:63:56:88:C0 |

| Well, I purchased my MacBook today (typing on it as we speak). My first impression is that it seems like a solidly built machine. I am impressed with the user interface (I've only played around with OSX for a couple of minutes before). It's a bit to get used to but it's only been a couple of hours and I'm used to it now.
I have the track pad setup the way I like (two finger right click and two finger scrolling).
One thing I'd like to mention is that I was planning on installing parallels onto this laptop when I got it. I have yet to find a reason to. Once I come across one I might but until then I'm happy.
Joako, why do you say Apple laptops are "crap"? Do you have any personal experience with them? |
