1 edit | You guys are way off, From what I've seen and read from the News Beijing Chinas Air and Water is the most polluted of all, It makes Los Angeles from the 60's look pretty clean by comparison. Of course to help make the place look cleaner for the Olympics the government there is going to extremes like moving or shutting down factories(But no new pollution controls mandated), Keeping cars off the roads, etc. The Summer Olympics may not happen there if the pollution is still really really bad there.  Of course Beijing has nothing on Yermo CA, Our Air is spectacular!

| Merely said in my humble experience NYC was the dirtiest place I've ever been.
I've never been to Bejing so it may well be dirtier - I don't know.
Also, can't stand that "Fockin Noo Yawk is the fockin center of the fockin' woild" attitude" generally espoused by people from Suburban NJ who've never been anywhere else because their IROC won't make it that far. London is 100x more cosmpolitan than NY and no crappy attitude to boot.
