Re: port from AT&T to Vitelity after dryline switch?

The AT&T rep kept saying that I could port my number on monday, and only monday. And I knew that there was no way that vitelity could port a number in only 24 hours (they say 2-3 weeks). So the lady kept telling me I couldn't have both a phone line and a naked DSL line. She wanted me to setup so that my Voice line is canceled a day before my naked DSL line gets installed. So I would be without internet for a day also.
I would rather pay for two inernet connections for a day then to be without phone and internet for a day.
I finally got her to put the 2nd DSL line on a second line. I just hope I'm not charged a huge fee from AT&T for installing a second line.
I ordered it on Tuesday I believe, and it should be installed this coming monday. Once the new DSL line is active, I will fill out Vitelity's port request, and call AT&T and cancel the DSL on my main voice line.
