Will be getting Comcast bundle shortly - CSR told me there was a phone feature that allowed you to set up call forwarding for your home phone # FROM any other phone, similar to what Verizon calls Ultra-call forwarding. But I can't find anything like that on Comcast's page. ANyone know? Also, anyone in the Boston area have any comments about Comcast internet vs. Verizon DSL, positive and/or negative? |

1 edit | Yes there is a call forward and a selective call forward [30 numbers only get forwarded, everyone else gets vmail] feature, they will give you a pamphlet that will explain all the features, how to turn them on/off/etc..

You are talking about call forward and call selective, both of which, according to the site, must be set up FROM the phone on the account. I am talking about if I am NOT at home, and forgot to set up call forwarding, if I can do so FROM a phone other than my home phone. With Verizon, you can do that with something called Ultra Call Forwarding. The CSR who took my order said you CAN do this, but I find nothing on the Comcast site that says you can. |

1 edit | my apologies, I thought it told you to dial your home phone and press # or * cannot recall which, then login with your passcode and enable the service using the *code which I do not know but it's all * + 2 digits IIRC. It should be in the handout they leave you when they install it. You should be able to check with the 1-800-comcast crew as well. |

Boston, MA | I just did one of those on-line chat thingies with Comcast, and the rep told me it can only be set FROM the home phone and not remotely. Someone should tell the CSRs. |

I'm pretty sure you can setup call forwarding from the Digital Voice Center website. It's been a while since I've used the site, but I do recall that option. |

| According to what's on the Digital Voice Center, you can do eiher Call Forwarding selective, where you choose which calls you want forwarded, or call Forwarding variable, which forwards ALL calls. But there is no option for setting call forwarding remotely. |
