| Cisco 870/850 Skinny support I work in a company that has a Cisco based phone system. Our service is a hosted service with a local VoIP/Broadband company. We have the cisco 7970 phones in our office. Our local provider is informing us that we need to purchase a Cisco 870 router in order to support Skinny protocol without the need of a VPN tunnel. I was looking around online and we found that we could purchase a Cisco 850 router for a much more reasonable price. I called Cisco and asked about Skinny support but I can't seem to get an answer out of anybody. My knowledge of this stuff is somewhat limited so I've decided it's time to ask the wise men  .
