| Re: When configuring my Printer Server where do I connect it ? Not sure of model etc.. but.. a. assign the wifi printer server a static LANIP address, preferably outside the dhcp pool but of course within the subnet of your router.
b. Ensure both the router and the WIFI print server have the same WPA-psk or WPA2-psk security settings. (note if your wifi print server is incapable of WPA, then IMHO you have wasted your money).
c. Attach the printer to the wifi printer.
d. now comes the hard part! assuming its like other print servers I have used, you have to add the printer to every pc - as a local printer - define new custom port - use the LANIP of the printer from above - use LP1 vice raw (print server dependent) - use LP1 for the LP setting - hopefully drivers are available in the OS are you have to load the disk now (and attach the driver to the custom printer port you have created.
accept.
e. from my experience you will not get any feedback from the printer for successful prints, it works on faith LOL, ie the print server is incapable of tx the printer feedback to the PC... -- Ain't nuthin but the blues!
