| Overpriced!
Dear AT&T: This is just one more example of AT&T's poor management, including the U-Verse FTTC architecture.
Friendly regulators and brand recognition simply cannot carry incompetence forever. Their stock is 'way overpriced IMHO.
Just my two cents.

Yeah, because it's AT&T's fault that the company that made the batteries went out of business. Right. Choosing lowest bidder is not always a good idea. Nor is it to take a deal that is too good to be true ... yea we'll get lithium battery's for the price of lead acid! It's their responsibility to make sure their equipment is safe for the community's they are deployed in. Who knows what crap that blast blew into the air there, and that area is probably contaminated with all sorts of nasty chemicals. -- Do ye, quieting in your bosoms your strong hearts, Who of many good things have had your fill even to surfeit, With what is moderate nourish your mighty desire; for neither will We yield, nor shall you have all else as you wish. EDIT: This should have been connected to gaforces's post just above the one it is attached to. |

1 edit | reply to Austinloop I'm sure you well know those kinds of details aren't for public consumption or availability. It's pure speculation.
If they did pay full value price for those battery's and had failure, then it's just a mistake, instead of a stupid mistake. It's pretty standard to investigate a company before doing business with them, even non business entity's do that |

| Then your first comments were just pure speculation?????
Yes it is pretty standard to investigate a company, and in AT&T's case to do a fairly exhaustive acceptance of a new product. As noted else where in this thread there has been a very small percentage of catastrophic failures of this item. |

Yes, did you need me to spell and reference it too? Yano, lead acid battery's can explode too, Ive seen it. A little over voltage, voltage spike, and the hydrogen and oxygen are vented to contact with an electric arc, and BOOM! -- Do ye, quieting in your bosoms your strong hearts, Who of many good things have had your fill even to surfeit, With what is moderate nourish your mighty desire; for neither will We yield, nor shall you have all else as you wish.
