I need something that will boot from a cd, and copy files and directories from one NTFS disk to another, preserving the long file names. Does anything like this exist?

| I use Linux only, and have no problems writing to windows from linux, no problems at all writing to NTFS, but the link I posted is basically using windows to repair windows.
I used it many times when I was using windows.

I should mention as well that for strictly DOS based you might try the basic Ultimate Boot CD (UBCD).

For UBCD you don't need to create a Bootable XPE environment CD. You just download the archive and burn the ISO and boot up to it. All DOS based. |

Little Rock, AR | I think they are indeed very similar and basically do the same thing. I have used Reatogo Plugins but never the PE CD. I was trying to find a list of current plugins installed on Reatogo. I must be missing it. |

For what I need to do, I think a linux live disk will work the best, but you have pointed me to some other great looking utilities that I am going to grab in case they are needed in the future. Thanks all!
